The number of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) caused by resistant gram-negative pathogens has risen sharply in recent years. Medical water filters using the latest technologies are highly beneficial both in the acute control of outbreaks and in the prevention of nosocomial infections.

They form a barrier between the patient and contaminated drinking water. All waterassociated bacteria are retained. The evidence for disposable Point-of-Use water filters has been extensively documented by numerous scientists in recent years.
