Since its inception in 2009 by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), this day has become a global platform to highlight the important role of pharmacists in healthcare.
World Pharmacists Day was created to raise awareness of the vital services that pharmacists provide around the world. This day reminds us how innovative and adaptable these professionals are, always at the forefront of new technologies and therapeutic approaches. Their work goes far beyond simply dispensing medicines; they are involved in counseling, prevention and maintaining the health of their communities.
Pharmacies are an indispensable part of the healthcare system. They ensure that patients receive the right medication and provide information on its use, dosage and side effects. Through their close cooperation with doctors’ surgeries and other healthcare providers, they make a decisive contribution to patient safety and satisfaction.
